Exhibition: Martial Arts of the Ryukyu Islands and Okinawa as Seen by Westerners

We are thrilled to announce the new exhibition at the Okinawa Karate Kaikan in 2023, titled "The Martial Arts of Ryukyu and Okinawa as Seen by Westerners".







Duration: December 21, 2023 (Thursday) - March 26, 2024 (Tuesday)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (last admission at 5:30 PM) *Closed on Wednesdays
Location: Okinawa Karate Kaikan Planning Exhibition Room (within the Reference Room)
   854-1, Tomigushiro, Tomigushiro City, Okinawa, Japan


Admission Fees:

General: 400 yen (*320 yen)
65 years old and over: 100 yen
High school and college students: 270 yen (*220 yen)
Elementary and junior high school students: 130 yen (*100 yen)
*The group rate for 20 or more people is shown in parentheses ( ).

2. Toyomi Castle Site Tour
Date: Saturday, December 23, 2023
Morning session: 11:00-12:00; Afternoon session: 13:30-14:30
Meeting place: In front of the entrance of the Okinawa Karate Kaikan Exhibition Hall
Instructor: Mr. Yoshimasa Miyagi (Tomigusuku City Board of Education, Cultural Division)
Capacity: 15 people per session, on a first-come, first-served basis
Attire: Please wear comfortable clothes.
Note: In the event of rain, the tour will be canceled.
