Privacy Policy

In consideration of the importance of protecting personal information, the Okinawa Traditional Karatedo Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations. We will handle personal information appropriately and implement necessary security measures. Furthermore, the Association will promptly address inquiries and consultations regarding the handling of personal information, and will periodically review and enhance its measures for the appropriate handling and secure management of personal information.

Definition of Personal Information

Personal information” means information about a living individual that can be used to identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in the information, or information that can be easily cross-checked with other information and thereby used to identify the specific individual.

Acquisition of Personal Information

The Association will acquire personal information to the extent necessary for its business and by legal and fair means.

Purpose of use of personal information

The Association will use the personal information it collects only to the extent necessary for conducting its business activities and will not use it for any other purposes without the prior consent of the individuals concerned. The specific purposes for which the Association will use personal information are as follows:

  1. Contacting the Association in response to inquiries
  2. Posting on the Association's website
  3. Information regarding the Association's business
  4. Work incidental to the above, 1-3

Measures for controlling personal data security

In order to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal data handled, and to ensure the safe management of other personal data, the Association will take security measures, including the establishment of rules for handling and implementation systems for safe management, and will take appropriate measures to ensure the accuracy and up-to-dateness of the personal data required to achieve the purpose of use.

The provision of personal data to third parties

The Association will not provide personal data to third parties without the consent of the individual, except in the following cases:

  1. When disclosure is required by law
  2. When entrusting the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
  3. When the Association deems it necessary to protect its rights, interests, reputation, etc.

Claims against the Association

When the Association receives a request for disclosure or correction of personal data in its possession, it will respond to the request after confirming the identity of the requester, unless there is a special reason such as significant hindrance to the proper conduct of business.
